Jeff and Susan live the American dream, that is, until Jeff loses his accounting job due to company downsizing. When Jeff gets home and gives Susan the bad news, after a frenzied day shopping at the mall with Kathy, her best friend, she is devastated. Upon hearing the bad news and understanding the undue financial strain, Kathy offers Susan a little money if Jeff would accompany her to a party. Although hesitant at first, Susan agrees after considering the seriousness of their new financial situation. Jeff is also hesitant, but after looking at Kathy in a new light recognizes that he might be in for an interesting night. Eventually, word gets around the neighborhood that Jeff is available for illicit affairs. The women find Jeff to be an exceptional entertainer and not a bad lover. The money comes pouring in and Susan begins to take the business more seriously. She even searches out the opinion of a financial advisor who happens to have more than numbers on his mind. Jeff, now feeling used and unsure about his future, searches for a new job to no avail. He has no choice to agree to the many dates that Susan planned for him. Sometimes the dates are kinky, sometimes they are erotic, but usually Jeff finds them awkward and confusing. Finally Jeff meets Denise, and he begins to show a compassion that he didnÌt show for others. Denise and Jeff spend most of their time talking and just "smelling the flowers". Susan finally becomes concerned when Denise sends her lawyer to negotiate for an entire week with Jeff. Susan eventually questions JeffÌs affection for Denise, and Denise recognizes Jeff and SusanÌs true love and helps them find each other again. After realizing that her marriage to Jeff is more important than her desire to spend, Susan gives up the business. The couple works to repair their relationship and with the profits of the "business" they head to the Caribbean to indulge in their love.
