Devotion is a sexually haunting and mystical tale that takes a young woman on an erotic journey of self discovery. Elizabeth Atkins, a vintage clothing store owner who is unhappy in her love life and unable to commit to her boyfriend Tom, is haunted by visions of a dark stranger who beckons her. When the visions become too powerful to deny she turns to an asian mystic, Bea, for help and guidance. Bea leads Elizabeth on a mysterious and erotic journey through her past lives and loves to gain insight about the dark stranger and uncover the source of her unhappiness. Elizabeth meets the lovers of her past lives; a young French soldier in Paris in 1917, a confederate soldier in Georgia in 1863 and a colonial militia man in 1775. With Bea's help Ellizabeth learns a lot about her karmic debt to the dark stranger who appears in her dreams. In a climactic scene Elizabeth discouvers the identitiy of the dark stranger and is given a last chance to overcome the sins the soms of her past and chart a brighter future.
